From Three Lions to One? Where did it all go wrong?
Well, it’s been at least six months since I last saw the light of day so that must mean only one thing – the transfer window has opened! And, as expected, Millwall have been linked with a fair few has-beens, maybes and never-will-bes!

Looking on the bright side, at least Tuttle has made one signing – Liverpool’s Zak Whitbread – but there are doubts about whether Mr. De Saveloy will let him make anymore. Of course, that doesn’t stop the rumours…

The Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Rumour of the Week is that ex-England international Robbie Fowler is on his way to The Den for a month’s respite from Stuart Pearce’s menacing glances. What gives this one a tad more credibility – only a tad, mind – is the fact that yesterday’s Evening Standard said that the move was imminent. So imminent in fact, that Robbie was last seen on Manchester City’s bench watching Tottenham Hotspur stroll to victory. But if that doesn’t come off, there’s always Michael Brown. Who was last season on Tottenham’s bench as they strolled to victory… ahem.

I guess that leaves us with Portsmouth’s Ricardo Fuller. Except he’s now on the way to Ipswich Town to experience the joys of listening to Mr. Potato-Head. So who exactly does Tuttle have his eyes on?

Brighton’s Leon Knight was thought to be a possibility but he has since been eclipsed by Marvin Williams, the Marcus Stewart stories have died a death while the Lee Trundle rumours continue to, er, trundle on. Which means we’ll still be a striker short come February, thanks to Colin Lee’s foresight and the need to shift Bob “I’m in Double Figures for the season” Peeters off the wage bill.

If all else fails, Peterborough United are having a fire sale. I’m sure they’ve got a goalkeeper that we can have. Or haven’t the board noticed that we’ve still only got one keeper on the books?

Probably not.
