A hold up at the Italian FA was futher complicated by a bank holiday weekend in Italy and the delayed formalities were cleared this evening in time for Abou to be included in Mark McGhee's squad to face Crewe Alexandra at The Den tomorrow.
Millwall Chief Executive Ken Brown explained: "In order to sign a player from abroad you need to receive a number of agreements and confirmations. The one which held up this particular deal for so long was the clearance form from the Italian FA and I'm not quite sure why that was.
