Millwall Football Club have become unwittingly involved in the Football Association's bung investigation after agent Charles Collymore was charged with a breach of regulations.

In a statement released by the FA, the club were namechecked as part of an intended deal that would have seen Luton Town's Enoch Showumni arrive at The Den.

"It is alleged Collymore touted the Luton player Enoch Showumni to Millwall without the knowledge or consent of Luton," read the release.

"It is also alleged he represented Showumni without a written contract, or he did not lodge it with the FA."

The charge has been brought following information provided by Luton manager Mike Newell after he met with the FA in January.

However, the charge unrelated to the recent allegations made by the BBC's Panorama programme that are currently being investigated.
