Defenders Mark Phillips and Zoom Bakayogo plus striker Gavin Grant, goalkeeper Rhys Evans and youngster Ryan James were today told their current contracts would not be renewed, joining the likes of Chris Day, Tom Brighton, Andrew Callaghan and Ross Gaynor on the free agents list this summer.
"It's been a long day sorting things out," Jackett told the club's official site. "We've had nine players whose contracts haven't been renewed, but it is important that we streamline the squad to make the space to bring in new faces to move this club forward next season."
However, on the positive side of things, winger Chris Hackett and striker Chris Zebroski have both been offered new deals in addition to striker Neil Harris.
