Ardley: Retiring from football
Millwall midfielder Neal Ardley has decided to call it a day and has quit playing professional football with immediate effect.

The former Wimbledon player, who graced The Premiership with The Dons, has experienced an injury-plagued 12 months at The Den since joining from Cardiff City and will now move coaching.

"I've had a great career and thoroughly enjoyed my time at every club I've been with," Ardley told the club's official site.

"Unfortunately, since I came to Millwall I've been plagued with various injuries, and while it was a difficult decision to take, I decided that now is the time to call it a day and look to the future.

"I'm 35 and not likely to feature prominently in the side this season, so it makes sense to stop playing and turn my attention to coaching."
