Brighton: Return to action
Having missed most of the season through injury, Millwall striker Tom Brighton is on the verge of a return to the first team.

The former Scotland Under-21 international has played just five times for The Lions since joining the club last summer but having successfully come through a behind-closed-doors friendly last week the striker is eyeing up a place in Willie Donachie's squad for this weekend's clash against Rotherham United.

"It was great to be back for the reserve game last week and just be on the park playing again," he told the club's official site.

"I've been training with the first team for two or three weeks now, but it's going to take a couple of reserve games to get more match fitness. At least this was a step in the right direction and I was able to get a good 50 minutes or so under my belt.

"I've been working hard in the gym and with the physio to get my fitness back; my ankle feels a lot stronger now, it's all systems go now and I'll hopefully push on.

"There's going to be competition for places towards the end of the season and I just hope I can add to the squad and help Willie and the team."
