Batt suffers setback

Millwall striker Shaun Batt is set to see a knee surgeon after a scan confirmed lateral ligament and muscle damage. Batt was stretchered off during last week's friendly win over AFC Wimbledon but, after being taken to hospital for an X-ray, it was revealed by the Lions to be nothing more serious than bruising. However, further scans have shown more damage to the player's knee and physio Bobby Bacic told the club's official website: "The whole lower leg and knee remained very swollen over the weekend and, although a break has been ruled out, we had to wait for the swelling to subside before scanning it further to check for ligament damage which we were suspecting. "The scan has confirmed significant lateral ligament and muscle damage. We will update the situation after Shaun visits the surgeon." Elsewhere, Tony Craig is continuing his rehabilitation from a foot injury with Bacic adding: "Tony Craig has started rehab out of his protective boot now after his six week X-ray showed good healing of the metatarsals. "He is currently working in the gym before we look to progress to outdoor rehab later next month."
