Darlington have decided to extended Lions' striker Kevin Braniff's trial by a further five days.

Quaker's manager David Hodgson watched the Northern Ireland Under-21 International in a friendly against Boston United last week but wants to see the striker in action again before coming to a decision. With this in mind, Braniff should play some part in Darlington's reserve game against Scunthorpe United later this week.

However, should Hodgson wish to sign Braniff, he'd be ineligible to take part in any games affecting promotion or relegation issues in accordance with League rules.
