Burnige: Praying for a miracle?
Jeff Burnige, the man set to replace Theo Paphitis as Millwall Chairman in the summer, has broken his silence in order to try and allay supporters' fears that next season will be a long hard slog.

Speaking to the club's official site, Burnige dismissed reports that the club will be lowering it's sights next year and insisted that The Lions will once again be pushing for promotion.

"Everyone's ambitions this season were for a play-off place at least," said the in-coming chairman. "So if we fall short we're bound to be frustrated.

"But we have now established ourselves as a club expected to challenge for promotion to the Premiership, and that remains our aim."
