Burnige: Untrustworthy?
Chairman elect Jeff Burnige still has some way to go to convince the Lions faithful that he is the man for the job after a poll conducted by Millwall Mad revealed that 62.1% fans don't trust him, with a further 20.7% undecided.

Burnige, who takes over from Theo Paphitis in the summer, has fallen foul of a lot of fans since his appointment was announced after it was revealed that some of the club's brightest youngsters still hadn't been awarded a new contract - which went someway to contradicting previous statements about investing in youth.

He has also had several very public arguments with manager Dennis Wise and it is said that his position in the club is unsafe, with rumours filtering through on various supporters' messageboards that Burnige has lined-up "hoofball" specialist David Kemp, who is good friends with youth coach Alan McLeary, as Wise's replacement.

Several players have also spoken out about the atmosphere at the club and there's a feeling around The Den that several big earners will be released in the Summer.

On the positive side of things, Burnige has made some strides to rebuilding bridges with the fans by way of Season Ticket incentives for next year, but he'll need to do a lot more over the summer if he is to win the doubters over.
