Byfield: Going sooner rather than later?

Want-away striker Darren Byfield could get his wish as early as the end of the week if Millwall get their asking price for the player.

A number of Championship clubs have taken an interest in the situation and are keen to sign Byfield including Bristol City and Stoke, with City reported to have made an offer of £250,000 to take the player to Ashton Gate over the weekend. Ipswich Town and Blackpool are also said to have made enquiries about the striker.

Last season's top scorer is currently out of the frame at The Den after a major bust-up with his teammates and is training with The Lions Academy.
