Tim Cahill made a flying start to his international career by scoring twice in Australia's 9-0 win over Tahiti in the Oceania Nations Cup.

Cahill, who made his debut at Loftus Road last month, was handed his first start in Adelaide by Socceroos boss Frank Farina, who rang the changes after Australia beat New Zealand 1-0 in their opening game.

This year's Oceania Nations Cup tournament is doubling as a 2006 World Cup qualifier, with Australia hot favourites to progress from this year's competition.
