Cahill: European Footballer of the Year?
Former Millwall star Tim Cahill has been short-listed for the European Footballer of the Year award.

The Everton midfiedler, who left The Den in 2004 after appearing in the FA Cup Final, is among the 50 candidates - including the likes of Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho, Michael Ballack, Samuel Eto'o and the retired Zinedine Zidane - selected by France Football magazine after impressing many with his performances in this summer's World Cup Finals.

Despite moving clubs two-years ago, the Australian international still has a soft spot for The Lions and refused to celebrate his goal when the sides met in the FA Cup Third Round back in January of this year.

And having been nominated for the Ballon d'Or, many Millwall fans will question the wisdom of former Chairman Theo Paphitis, who sold the player for a paltry £1.5 million.
