Millwall's pre-season friendly clash against Hearts may be screened live on Channel Five.

The Scottish Evening News reports that discussions are underway with several TV companies, including Channel Five and Eurosport. The Canadian tour has been attracting huge interest in North America and the all-British clash is already scheduled to be shown live across Canada on Sportsnet.

"A live transmission in the United Kingdom might well happen," said Martin Perry, of Canada’s Television Northwest Media Group.

"We are talking to the interested parties. We definitely want to do it but cannot confirm anything at this stage. Soccer is very popular in Canada and the match is being shown over here. Things are currently under discussion and we are looking into the possibility of a live transmission in Britain."

A decision is expected later this week but if discussions are successful the match could be brought forward to accomodate for the eight hour time difference between Vancouver and London.
