Millwall midfielder has been called up by the Scotland side for their forthcoming game against Austria in Mattersburg.

The game, which takes place on Tuesday 19th April, is a challenge match, rather than an official international fixture, and will give manager Walter Smith the chance to cast his eye over his squad's fringe players and up-and-coming youngsters.

Sweeney, who has been capped seven times at under-21 level, will join up with the Scotland camp after The Lions' game against West Ham United at Upton Park.
