Casement had been set to join The Lions this week after agreeing to a one-month deal before last week's deadline for loan transfers but picked up an ankle knock during the Under 21s defeat to Romania on Saturday.
His injury will now need to be assessed before a decision can be made on whether or not he'll come to The Den before the end of the season.
