Charlton raise doubts over McLeod deal

Izale McLeod appears to have been placed in football limbo after Millwall cancelled his loan deal on Monday.

Lions boss Kenny Jackett terminated the striker's stay at The Den ater an alleged bust-up between the two prior to the home defeat to Oldham Athletic at the weekend after the Millwall manager dropped the player to the bench.

However, Charlton's Phil Parkinson has told the News Shopper that the player is still under contract to The Lions due to the terms of the deal and that he cannot play for The Addicks again until the end of the season.

"It's not totally resolved yet," said Parkinson. "It's all very well Millwall saying they're sending him back, but the bottom line is we can't have him back and he can't play for the reserves of the first team."

McLeod is rumoured to be back at Millwall but the player is refusing to train with The Lions or speak to Jackett. Charlton, meanwhile, are allegedly reluctant to have the player back over concerns about his high wages.
