Rumours and postings have been appearing on messageboards across the internet this morning allegedly confirming Claridge's departure after a falling out with director and former Chairman Theo Paphitis.
Claridge, who was hired by Jeff Burnige before he stepped down as chairman last month, has struggled to get results in The Lions' pre-season friendlies, with last night's 2-2 draw at home to Gillingham the latest in a string of poor showings and it is believed that Paphitis has little confidence in his ability to do the job.
Millwall Football Club have so far refused to confirm or deny the rumours.
