Claridge: New boss?
Steve Claridge could be unveiled as Millwall's new manager tomorrow if newspaper reports are to be believed.

According to today's Mail on Sunday, the former Lions striker flew in to London todayfrom Germany for talks with Millwall chairman Jeff Burnige about a possible player-manager role, following former Derby County manager George Burley's decision not to continue negotiations.

Claridge, who last season played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford and Wycombe Wanderers, has previously managed both Portsmouth and non-league Weymouth, where he has some initial success, but his appointment - should it happen - would still be considered something of risk for the club, who have now been without a manager for over a month.
