Stand-in Captain Tony Craig has not ruled out automatic promotion for The Lions this season, even though the team have struggled at The Den in recent weeks.

The 23-year-old defender, who was appointed skipper after injury ruled out Paul Robinson for the rest of the season, feels that it is still in Millwall's hands and he fully expects the club of occupy at least one of the play-off spots come May.

"We are taking things game by game and are capable of catching second place," he told the Southwark News. "And will always have an eye on the top two until it is mathematically impossible to catch them.

"We are fighting for automatic promotion and will push until May for it. We are in the playoff positions now and realistically expect to be there as a minimum and will see what the final third of the season will bring."
