Craig: Just when you thought it was safe to go back into The Den...
With Andy Frampton out injured for another fortnight manager Kenny Jackett moved quickly ahead of the closing of the emergency transfer window to sign former Millwall defender Tony Craig on loan from Crystal Palace.

The former Younger Player of the Year was off-loaded to The Eagles last summer by former manager Willie Donachie in a deal that many Lions fans saw as one of the best pieces of transfer activity in recent years, with the muppets from Selhurst Park paying around £150,000 for his services. But having been found out, Craig is now back at The Den, with Jackett once again showing his extraordinary man-management skills by giving Zoom Bakayogo and Scott Baron a huge vote of no confidence.

"Not so long ago I thought the injury crisis was over with only three or four long term casualties in the treatment room," Jackett told the club's official site. "But now we're back up to 13 or 14.

"I'm pleased to have been able to sign Tony on loan because he is a very capable defender at this level."

For his part, Craig seemed please to be back at The Den, despite kissing The Eagle on his Palace shirt not so long ago. "It's funny how things turn out in football. I was very happy at Millwall and had no thought of leaving the club when Palace came in for me.

"At that time the club thought it was a good offer, and for myself it was a chance to play at a higher level, but now I'm back and I'm determined to give 100% to help Millwall get away from the relegation zone."

Craig conluded his interview by giving many a Millwall fan a stark warning: "The fans know what to expect from me and I won't let them down."

Yes, Tony.
