Millwall may have been outclassed by a superior Manchester United side, but Curtis Weston made sure he left his mark on the competition by becoming the youngest ever player to compete in the FA Cup Final.

Weston, who up until yesterday afternoon had only ever made one other appearance for the Lions, came on as an 89th minute substitute for player/manager Dennis Wise to beat the record held James Prinsep of Clapham Rovers, set back in 1879, and Paul Allen's post-War achievement with West Ham United in 1980.

The Millwall youngster cemented his place in the record books at the tender age of 17 years anf 119 days.
