Dazzer back for Vale

With Danny Haynes heading back up the A12 to Ipswich, the news that Darren Byfield is fit and ready for action again will come as a welcome relief to caretaker manager Willie Donachie.

The former Ipswich Town assistant boss was unable to persuade his former club to let The Lions' have Haynes' services for another month but with both Byfield and Marvin Williams playing some part in Tuesday's reserve fixture against Crystal Palace, Donachie is not unduly worried about his attacking options ahead of tomorrow's clash against Port Vale.

"Danny Haynes has now gone back to Ipswich following his loan spell here, but I think we can cope with losing him." Donachie told the club's official site.

"There were a lot of good performances during the week against Crystal Palace. Darren is coming back, Chris Zebroski played well, as did Marvin Williams and Filipe Morais. Gavin Grant also looked good in midfield, but the pleasing thing is a lot of the attacking players looked sharp and with them coming into form, plus Ben May on his way, I think we will be very strong up front soon.

"Losing Alan Dunne for Swansea was a blow, but Ali Fuseini is available, Samy Mawene is doing better now, Zoom (Bakayogo) came in on the left for the reserves and did well. We have a lot of options."
