Millwall Football Club today confirmed that they will be appealing against the red card striker Daniele Dichio picked up against Nottingham Forest last weekend.

The striker, who faces the possible heartache of missing out on the FA Cup Final if the dismissal is aloud to stand, was sent off after a clash with Forest's Wes Morgan in an incident described as "nothing more than handbads" by opposition boss Joe Kinnear.

Speaking to the club's official website, Ray Wilkins said "We have appealed against it, but whether we will be successful I've no idea. It looked a little bit harsh. It was handbag-ish I suppose, hopefully we will get some good news."

In other news, promising midfielder Anton Robinson has signed professional forms with the club, keeping him at The Den for a further season.
