Manager Dennis Wise today confirmed that his three-match ban for his sending off against Nottingham Foreset will stand, despite the pleas of the club and Forest manager Joe Kinnear.
Dichio was shown a straight red card along with Nottingham Forest's Wes Morgan following an off-the-ball altercation when the two sides met at the City Ground on 17th April. And unless Millwall can squeeze into the Play-Offs, Danny will now be ruled out of the games against Derby, Bradford and Manchester United.
Speaking to the club's official site, Wise confirmed: "The referee has already told us that he's not going to change his mind, so unless we get in the Play-Offs Danny's going to miss the Cup Final, simple as that.
"He's distraught about it, as all the other lads are for him, but that's the way it goes sometimes."
