Jones: Match fit?
Just hours after signing on loan for a month, a question mark has appeared over the fitness of Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Paul Jones.

The former Welsh international hasn't played a first team game for the Midlands club since September 2004 and fractured a cheekbone in a pre-season friendly against Dundee.

Indeed, Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle signed Aston Villa's Dutch goalkeeper Stefan Postma on loan for five months after they were left with youngster Carl Ikeme as cover for first choice Michael Oakes after injuries to Jones and Matt Murray.

38-year-old Jones is obviously short of match fitness but now there are concerns over his overall physical state. With Andy Marshall suspended for tomorrow clash against Bristol Rovers and reserve keeper Terry Masterson is injured, manager Colin Lee will have very little choice but to play the on-loan Keeper with midfielder Adrian Serioux the only other alternative.
