Former Lion Joe Dolan today put pen to paper and joined Leyton Orient on a free transfer.

Dolan, who was released by Millwall at the end of the season, looked likely to join Mark McGhee at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he spent the latter part of the last campaign on loan, but O's manager Martin Ling managed to pursuade the former Northern Ireland U-21 International to join the League Two outfit.

The centre half's career at The Den was plagued by injury and after spending much of last season out on loan with three different clubs, he was considered surplus to requirements by chairman Jeff Burnige.

Dolan started his career at Chelsea but didn't make a first team appearance before moving to Millwall in April 1998. He went on to make 62 first-team appearances for the Lions, scoring four goals.
