Millwall centre half Joe Dolan has undergone an exploratory operation on his knee, delaying his return to first team football even further. The surgery revealed some minor scar tissue that has been removed and he is not expected to return to full training for at least six weeks.

Dolan had been making steady progress in his efforts to regain full fitness after damaging his cruciate knee ligaments last November and apart from two brief appearances last season, the Northern Irish U-21 international has not played first team football for nearly three years.
