Dolan had spent the last two months with County after switching from Crawley Town but has decided to swap one relegation battle for another and was keen to link-up with his former manager at the Withdean Stadium.
The 24-year-old centre half is expected to go straight into The Seagulls side when they resume their campaign at Coventry City on April 2nd.
