The former Scottish international saw his side outplayed by a rampant Nottingham Forest in the second half at the weekend and is hoping that his young side can show a bit of fight against a side who have already won at The Den this season in the league.
"We need to get over losing a game and victory in a cup competition will help us do that," Donachie told the club's official website. "Also, it is another chance for the players to prove to the home fans what they can do.
"The team has responded to defeat well in the past. I believe they will do so again.
"I believe in them as players and I'm confident they can get a result."
Tickets for tonight's game are £10, with under-16s free.
