Shaw: Mr. Consistent
For a player who was only meant to be a back-up for the first team, defender Richard Shaw has surprised many this season.

The 38-year-old had been expecting to take it easy but has made 44 appearances this season, missing only a handful of games through injury and suspension, and his performances at the back of a rocky Millwall side saw him elected MSC Player of the Year earlier this week.

One of the first to congratulate him was manager Willie Donachie, who has built a team that almost scrapped into the play-offs around the veteran.

"Richard has been our most consistent player, and he is a great professional," he told LionsTV. "He and Paul Robinson have been the backbone of the team.

"Richard has been outstanding, and I'm not a manager who worries about players' ages. It's about whether or not you are good enough.

"But it is a great testament to Richard's professionalism and dedication that he is still playing so regularly."
