Donachie: Wants top job
Willie Donachie, Nigel Spackman's former number two, has declared his interest in taking on the manager's post at The Den on a permanent basis.

Donachie was in charge of The Lions for last night's 1-1 draw against Brentford and stated after the game that he would like to be considered for the position after the game.

"I have told the board and the chairman that I want the job," said Donachie. "I believe that I can do it and it is now in their hands.

"This is a results business and as long as I keep picking up points then I'm sure that I will be in with a chance of being given the job on a full-time basis. It is a big job, but I'm up to it.

"It has been difficult for the players after Nigel left but I was pleased with their attitude and the performance."
