The news will come as a blow to manager Willie Donachie, who had only just got May back into his squad, and with Marvin Williams out on loan with Torquay for at least another week, the Lions boss will have to work with limited resources for the next three games.
"If you add in Zak Whitbread, who has also had a frustrating few months with injury, the three of them are big, powerful players who would be in the first team squad," said Donachie.
"It is disappointing for them individually, and also for us because they are the type of players you need in this League."
