Each to their own

Kenny Jackett is keeping things strictly in-house this weekend as he looks to extend The Lions' run of victories away from home.

The Millwall boss has been somewhat reliant on loan signings this season but having been burnt by the deals involving Vincent Pericard and Izale McLeod he is in no rush to go out and sign another striker just yet.

Pericard's season came to a premature end during the victory over Cheltenham Town while McLeod's future is now up in the air after a bust-up with The Lions' manager before last week's game against Oldham Athletic and although neither player are still will the club, Millwall are apparently still contributing to their wage packets.

However, speaking to the club's official site Jackett was keen to concentrate on the qualities of the permanent members of his squad.

"I'm very pleased with the progress of Ashley Grimes, and with the return from injury of Gary Alexander," said the manager. "Along with the option of Neil Harris we have three forwards vying for two positions right now. Lewis Grabban is not far away from being fit again, and if we are able to secure an extension to James Henry's loan spell, Lewis will provide another possibility down the middle if we need one.

"I'll keep an eye on the situation, I still have a bit of time if we do need to bring someone else in on loan but we'll see how things go over the next week or so."
