FA warn Millwall

Millwall today received a warning over their future conduct after the Football Association took exception to a mass brawl during The Lions' triumphant semi-final win over Sunderland back in April.

The statement issued by the Football Association read:
"At a Disciplinary Commission hearing today, Millwall FC were warned to their future conduct.

"The club were charged with failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion (breach of FA Rule E21a) following a mass confrontation in the FA Cup Semi-Final against Sunderland on 4th April."

The news has been met with some surprise by the club and its supporters, who feel the Sunderland players were partly, if not totally, responsible for the ugly scenes at Old Trafford. However, despite having a player sent off and inflicting injuries on key players Paul Ifill and Kevin Muscat (who is still out injured), the F.A. decided not to charge the Black Cats.
