Getting into the winning habit

Donachie: In relaxed mode!
Millwall boss Willie Donachie is hoping to build on his side's marvellous 3-2 victory away at Rotherham United with a repeat performance at Carlisle United this weekend.

And the caretaker manager knows that if The Lions keep winning he is almost certain to land the position on a full-time basis.

"I've just got to try, and the team has got to try, to keep on winning," he told Sky Sports.

"If we keep winning, I'll be fine - that's the game at every level. It's the same for Alex Ferguson, it's the same for everybody, it's about results."

Although he admits that things were looking grim at Millmoor at half-time, with his time trailing 2-1.

"I thought I was out of a job already!" he joked. "But the players kept believing, they kept working and showed a lot of character.

"We came back and won, which is superb away from home. After being 2-0 down, it's fantastic."

Looking ahead to Saturday's clash against Carlisle United, Donachie knows it will be a tough trip against a side licking its wounds following their 5-1 defeat at Crewe Alexandra.

"They're a strong team. Even last week when they lost at Crewe heavily, I was told for the first 35 minutes they were the better team.

"I've seen them personally and they are a strong, experienced team.

"It won't be easy, but we felt all along that if we're together, working hard, we can compete with anybody in the league."
