Dunne: Three in three

Having fallen out of favour with former manager Nigel Spackman at the beginning of the season, midfielder Alan Dunne has had to wait patiently on the sidelines for his opportunity to come along. But even he has been surprised by his recent purple patch in front of goal.

The young Irishman has now scored three times in as many games to help haul The Lions up the table and scored the side's opener at the weekend against Carlisle United.

"I can't believe the ball keeps going in - it's madness," he told the South London Press.

"It did take a slight deflection, but if you don't shoot, you don't score."
