Hackett: Two-year deal
Millwall have finally completed the signing of Hearts winger Chris Hackett after protracted negotiations with the SPL club.

Hackett, who played in several pre-season friendlies for The Lions, has signed a two-year deal to become the fifteenth new face at the club since the end of the last season. The 23-year-old was signed from Oxford United during the transfer window at the beginning of 2006 but despite a promising start, failed to hold down a regular spot with Edinburgh club. Speaking to the club's official site, the player spoke of his relief at the completion of the deal.

"I was always confident it would go through, because it was just about the final details of the agreement.

"I am just looking forward to playing now."

Hackett will wear the number 12 squad shirt for the forthcoming season, with today's two other signings Samy-Oyame Mawene and Zoumana Bakayoko awarded 29 and 31 respectively.
