Harris and Alexander still out

The continued absence of strikers Neil Harris and Gary Alexander could tempt manager Kenny Jackett to try and bring in one or two new faces up front on loan.

Top-scorer Harris has endured a frustrating spell on the sidelines after a rich run of form following a back injury. However physio Bobby Bacic is confident that the striker is well on the way to full fitness.

"Neil's actual back is in very good condition," he told the club's official website. "However, his injury is one where a very small muscle becomes fatigued when he runs and causes the nerve to be irritated.

"We have scanned the joints and discs and they show no damage. We are continuing to strengthen the muscle and building up the endurance of it. He can run pain free in the pool now, so we are progressing him this week to land running."

Gary Alexander, meanwhile, will finally be free of his protective boot following his heel spur injury but is some way short of a first-team return.
