Harris looking forward to Leeds clash

If you had to back one player to score against Leeds United tomorrow it's Millwall striker Neil Harris. The striker's resurgence as player began last season against The U's when he struck a brace in the 3-1 victory at The Den and later hit the winner in the first leg when the two sides met in the play-offs. And after hitting a hattrick against Stockport County last weekend the player can't wait for tomorrow's game to kick off.

"There's certain games you want to play in - Leeds at home, Leeds away, the Charlton games, Southampton, Norwich and so on: local derbies and rivalries," Harris told the Southwark News. "Leeds is a rivalry and one that is keenly-contested and playing in those sort of games is one of the reasons I play football.

"We are two very good teams who are capable of putting in good performances. I'm sure they'll play a pretty similar game-plan to the one they did last season by keeping it tight and relying on their attacking players - Jermaine Beckford, Max Gradel, Sam Vokes - to try and cause us some damage where they can."

Reflecting on the side's recent upturn in fortune, the Lions striker is confident that the side can take their recent form into the game and close the gap on the league leaders.

"In the last two or three weeks we, as players, have created a bit of a buzz for the fans," continued Harris. "I think everyone was a bit deflated after Wembley and with the injury season and the slow start, but now we're a point off the top six ahead of two massive home games and a four-week period that really excites you as a player."
