Harris: Staying put
Striker Neil Harris will be around The Den for a bit longer after fulfilling one of the conditions of his contract by starting the game against Cheltenham Town at the weekend.

Harris, who re-signed for The Lions in January, was given an 18-month contract on the proviso that he proved his fitness by playing ten of the club's remaining games, which he duly completed on Saturday.

"When I re-signed it was an 18 month contract with one clause which the club wanted included," Harris explained to the club's official site. "To prove my form, fitness and commitment, I had to play at least ten of the remaining games this season to guarantee the next 12 months would become automatic and I was happy to do that because there were no doubts in my mind.

"I have played ten in a row and we've won seven of them, so I've fulfilled that obligation. I now want to carry on playing for this club for as long as they need me."
