Harris signs on

After what seems like months of speculation, Neil Harris finally put pen to paper today to a new contract that keeps the 30-year-old at The Den for another season.

Harris, who had attracted interest from a number of other clubs, had been told back in February that his services were no longer required by manager Kenny Jackett but the popular striker opted to remain with The Lions rather than go out on loan to convince Jackett he was wrong.

"Everyone knows how much this club means to me. I had to talk things through with my family. We're delighted I'm staying," he told the club's official website.
