Harris: Told he's not wanted
Neil Harris' Millwall career looks all but over after manager Kenny Jackett told the striker that he will not be offered a new deal in the summer.

Harris, who rejoined the club last season from Nottingham Forest, has also been told that he can go out on loan, fuelling rumours of a bust-up between the club's record goalscorer and manager Kenny Jackett.

"Being told your services are not required is not nice, especially when it comes from the club you love playing for," Harris told the South London Press. "But I would not turn my back on this club in its current position. I do not want to leave."

Boss Jackett has been trying to stamp his authority on the club since his arrival and has alienated some of the squad's senior players, preferring to play players out of position than recall the likes of Richard Shaw, but it his bust up with Harris that has caused with the greatest amount of speculation, especially as the striker had his heart set on breaking Teddy Sheringham's record.

"I understand what fans feel because Neil has been a fantastic servant for this club," offered Jackett. "But I have to make what I feel are the best decisions for Millwall's future."
