Hayles: On his way out?
Barry Hayles' move to Championship outfit Plymouth Argyle took a step closer this afternoon after Millwall gave The Pilgrims permission to talk tot he striker.

Hayles has been top of Ian Holloway's shopping list for some time now but after failing to impress manager Nigel Spackman on the recent tour to Iceland, the club now look like cutting their loses on the former Sheffield United and Fulham hitman and letting him go.

"The situation with Barry as with David Livermore is that we have received offers for both that are acceptable to Millwall Football Club," explained Chairman Stewart Till. "Should they leave us, there will be more money available for Nigel Spackman to invest in strengthening his squad.

"Nigel has the final say in any transfer deals and we are all agreed that the decision to allow players to leave will only be taken if it is ultimately in the best interests of this club."
