Hayles, 34, has signed a two-year contract that sees him team up with his former manager at Bristol Rovers, Ian Holloway. Holloway had been chasing the player for some time and even tried to sign him when he was Queens Park Rangers, but he finally got his man late Thursday afternoon after The Lions agreed to sell him.
Hayles arrived at The Den in 2004, but a rib injury prevented him from playing in Millwall's UEFA Cup tie that season. Further injuries blighted his time at The Den and he only managed 21 League starts last season.
