Millwall's Paul Ifill has been ruled out for the next month after suffering from a relapse of the ankle injury that he picked up on the opening day of the season.

Ifill came on as a second half substitute during Saturday's game against Wolverhampton Wanderers but broke down in training during the week. He saw a specialist yesterday to see if he would require surgery.

"It is still not right," said Ifill. "We're going to have to look into it again. I have not been 100 per cent fit all season, since going off against Plymouth on the first day.

"I have a few days to get it right and maybe the pain will have gone. But if not, the worst scenario would be that I might have to have surgery. Hopefully, it won't come to that.

"At the end of the day my game is about power, but at the moment I cannot kick with my right foot. It is very frustrating."
