Jackett denies Barnard approach

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has denied that he is interested in Southend United's Lee Barnard despite press reports linking The Lions to The Shrimpers' striker.

"We are not in for Barnard," confirmed Jackett earlier today, after Southend allegedly rebuked his approach for the player.

It is believed the Essex club's valuation of the player and their price tag of £250,000 is too rich for The Lions, who are believed to have valued the former Spurs player at around £100k.
