Jackett joy as Lions open gap at the bottom

Millwall's position at the foot of League One looked a little brighter this morning after Bas Savage's 70th minute strike against Yeovil Town gave The Lions their second away win on the bounce. And with results elsewhere going there way, Kenny Jackett's men now have a comfortable - if not entirely safe - gap of seven points between them and the relegation zone.

"It's been a good week for us so far with six points from two difficult away games," Jackett told the club's official site. "I am hoping that we can take this into the Leyton Orient home match this Saturday.

"We started slowly and our keeper had to make three important saves early on. But we got to half-time at 0-0 and then I thought we dominated in the second half. I want us to play passing football with good movement, and we did that with the goal itself being a great example."

However, victory came at a price, with both Gary Alexander and Alan Dunne hobbling off with injuries.

"Gary Alexander sustained an ankle injury," continued Jackett. "It needed several stitches, but being a contact injury, I am hoping that he won't be out for very long."
