Jackett lets bygones be bygones

Kenny Jackett has not ruled out selecting Charlton striker Izale McLeod for The Lions once again this season after the striker returned to training following his bust-up with the Millwall boss a fortnight ago.

McLeod had been sent back to The Valley after his falling out with Jackett but The Addicks refused to have him prompting the PFA to get involved in order to sort the mess out and after a round of peace talks the centre forward is now back at The Den, having seemingly sorted out his differences.

For his part, Jackett hs been impressed with McLeod's attitude since his return. "Izale has responded well since he came back and has trained hard by putting a lot of effort in, which is good to see," he told the News Shopper.

"I'm pleased it has been sorted out and it isn't something I'm dwelling on. If he can help Millwall to be successful, then fine.

"He is going to have to earn his place though because there are some people ahead of him but who knows what is going to happen with injuries and suspensions between now and the end of the season."
