Jackett ponders his striking options

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has refused to rule out the possibility that he may re-enter the loan market in order to beef up his strike force ahead of the end-of-season run-in.

Jackett had signed Stoke City's Vincent Pericard on an extended loan deal but the Cameroon international was stretchered off during the 3-1 win against Cheltenham Town on Tuesday evening with an achilles injury that has required surgery and ruled the striker out for the rest of the season.

And with Gary Alexander still on the sidelines, The Lions manager is considering his options.

"We've got until the third Thursday in March," Jackett explained to the News Shopper. "So we will have to have a look around, but I wouldn't necessarily say there will be somebody coming in by Saturday.

"We will see over the next few weeks how the team does and most importantly, who can come in and improve our side. I'm always on the lookout to improve things if I possibly can."
